Newer post

  • Mood: Tired

I know it's been a while since I posted here, but things have been very hectic these past few weeks. I know you'll expect to see the recent poll results from the past few months, but I will show them on the August 2008 update vid on my side of YouTube, at mtiller2006.

This past month, I've battled long enough with someone who was direspecting the message board of this site. This person, using the alias name of 'kyle,' posted nasty and vulgar comments in the Message Board, directing it to just about everyone who had posted anything. I deleted those comments and posted a new rule, and that person came back again with more bashes, like if he was in control. Not only did I delete the comments again, but I did some research on the user's IP address that was left in every post. I looked it up, and found out that it was directed from Japan! So now, this person is blocked from that IP address and we'll see how it goes from there. But do note, I do not tolerate nasty and vulgar comments in the Message Board, as this website is meant to be family safe, just like any game show out there. So if you want to comment on the Message Board, keep the nasty and vulgar opinions to yourself, otherwise they will be deleted...NO exceptions!

I was attacked on YouTube by mikek1975 and memphisheel1980 this past month. On the Definition vid that I created with the help of David Hammond, mikek1975 started it by saying I was blind and that I'd "never get the two chicks". memphisheel1980 defended mikek1975 and honestly scared not only me, but David Hammond as well. I learned these guys are part of "Randy's Minions", thanks to the help of David Hammond. Randy's Minions are people who are in friendship to the late Randy Amasia, who never got to see his $25,000 win on Whew! before passing away. According to David, they stick to game shows unto death, and man that doesn't sound cool. There's more to life than game shows, that's what I know. But, mikek1975 and memphisheel1980 have no need to bash me anymore, hopefully.

I've also battled with rmenga4 of YouTube, as he is a frequent user to the GST Live! chatroom, and he usually went off-subject towards a Monopoly vid that Kyle Wheeler and I were working on, and not only that, he said things as if he was in control himself. During The Price is Right LIVE! on Game Show Temple LIVE!, he said, "Me next!" During commercial, I IMed him and said, "Do you decide who plays next?" He replied, "Yes".  Honestly, this guy is wearing me out. I've warned him too many times, and one more slip-up gives him a ban. I was tired of it, David Hammond is, Kyle Wheeler, Anthony Hardy, TVLubber, just about everybody. So, this guy is on official final warning.

Also, I've become very worried about the sake of YouTube. Viacom, the copyrighters of Nickelodeon, have yet put ANOTHER lawsuit against Google and YouTube, and this time it's gotten much more serious. With a $1 billion lawsuit pending, Judge Louis Stanton has authorized Google and YouTube to hand over login IDs and names for Viacom to track what everybody watched on YouTube. Their recent attack was when they had Nickelodeon videos removed. Now this time, Viacom is stepping over the line according to therealweeklynews on YouTube. This person talks well of an example of what Viacom is doing, and Viacom had it removed as they felt it was copyright infringement, but YouTube had it re-instated. The first Amendment clearly states that everyone has the 5 Freedoms, Speech included. As for me, I don't post any Nickelodeon stuff, which is what caused the controversy of Viacom. All videos I post, as I keep stressing, are under copyright law and are only posted for entertainment and non-profit reasons. That includes others as well, and it seems that Viacom just wants things to go their way. With what Google and YouTube had seen, it risks the privacy of everyone in this nation. Why won't they just leave us alone?

Also for me, I'm soon starting college, so updates may be becoming scarce. But don't worry, I'll still be here when I can.

March 2008

  • Mood: Tired

Things are taking a major change here at the Game Show Temple. First, here's last month's poll from whose version of Split Second was the best:

Tom Kennedy - 23 - 43%
Monty Hall - 31 - 57%

Definitely something. This month's poll reflects off of an idea we're doing for Carmen Sandiego. Should me or Kyle Wheeler host it? First place will be the host, second place will be the Chief.
Also, I'm doing some major things. My YouTube is changing, my videos are finally coming back there even more. Remember when I was pirated? Even though the blooper is on YouTube, I'm putting it back on my side of YouTube with an extension. SOme users are not believing I'm the first poster, so I'm going to prove my point.
Most things are going well here. But last month, the bandwidth exceeded its limit during Game Show Temple LIVE!. I'm hoping to make changes rather soon so I won't have to worry about bandwidth since the site is still getting more popular. I'm hoping to extend it rather soon.

February 2008

Here are the results from last month's poll, reflecting off of the FreMantle logo, on your opinion:

I'D RATHER KEEP MARK GOODSON'S LOGO: 49 (78%)
KEEP THE FREMANTLE LOGO, DESPITE THE FACT I RESPECT MARK GOODSON: 9 (17%)
I'D RATHER KEEP MARK GOODSON OUT OF THE CREDITS: 3 (8%)

I spoke to a friend of mine about this poll, and he said that he respects Mark Goodson, he wants the FreMantle logo since Mark's no longer alive. I understand that point. Also, another friend said that it was Bob Stewart who originally created The Price is Right when Bill Cullen hosted it. So, I see where he's coming from. Here's this month's new poll:

Who was the best host of Split Second?

-Tom Kennedy
-Monty Hall

Well folks, I have got a brand new radio show on BlogTalkRadio, and it will be located in the links directory. And also folks, I am making a new intro page, still with the weekly video, but instead, a link to the main directory. On the new introduction page will be upcoming events, not only for GST Live!, but also the schedule for Game Show Talk and Fun. David Hammond directed me to it right after he discovered Sarabeth Rothfeld's interview, and I've become a good part of it, and now have my own show every Saturday night thanks to him. This page is only in planning, but we'll see how that goes.
Also, I would like to congratulate Amber Morgan on her pregnancy. For those who remember watching my Trivia Trap video with me hosting, I made mention that Amber was in the final stage of her first pregnancy. On February 27th, Amber had her baby. She had a girl, and named her Colie. So now, she is a proud and happy mother.
A lot of things have been going on. I know I haven't been updating as much as I used to, but a lot of things have been happening for me in the real world, basically. My work time had been increasing a little bit, and my manager gave in her two weeks notice thanks to a problem which I do not wish to talk about to everyone, but she is leaving us on March 6th, and it put me into serious worry. I've been going through difficult times.
Also on February 6th, I was on Game Show Talk and Fun talking about the Game Show Temple itself. I mentioned that I was harassed at YouTube about someone who copied the You Fool! video off my site, and someone who supports that user harassed me by saying I should not have watermarked it. True the video is not mine, but it was a direction to my site back then. I have done all I could to tell this person I acknowledged the copyright of Hollywood Squares, but he was still downright rude and kept on harassing me. I mentioned that in the interview, and other stuff as well. You can download the entire interview here:

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/dickclarkfan3000

That is the main site for Game Show Talk and Fun. My interview was #13 on February 6th, so there you are.
Have a great month, everyone!

January 2008

  • Mood: Tired

Well first of all, let me say I hope everyone is having a good start to 2008 as we close up January and enter February of 2008. We are having a good time thus far, aren't we? Now before we go any further, my last poll question referred to Mark Goodson's logo being removed and replaced with the FreMantle Media logo. I asked if you all thought it was good, and here we the results:

Keep Mark Goodson's logo - 100 (84%)
No, keep the FreMantle logo - 19 (16%)

Now, we got another reference question. I wanted to know why, and like before with my endgame idea of Sale of the Century, I heard nothing, and the next poll proved a point. Here is this month's poll question: How do you feel about the FreMantle logo?

-I'd rather keep Mark Goodson's logo
-Keep the FreMantle Media logo, though I respect Mark Goodson and should credit him in the credits
-No, keep Mark Goodson out of it

I know I feel like a bum a bit for having that third option, but as I respect Mark Goodson and his works, I'd keep his logo as The Price is Right was his creation to become America's #1 game show.
In other news, I found a website with an Internet radio show that refers around game shows called Game Show Talk and Fun, and I have been on the radio 2 weeks in a row. They air Wednesday evenings, so check the Internet listings at the site that is now linked in my Links section. Also, a direct Radio button was added on the main page.
I know updates are becoming scarce, but I'm trying to find episodes to post on the site. But, I was recently harassed at YouTube by one of the guys who pirated my vid claiming it was not mine to watermark. And though I'm willing to agree with that, I was not told ahead of time and I just wish credit to be given, because you can see the watermark was there. I have been discussing issues, and quite frankly, I'm tired of it. Again to all copyright holders, take note of my disclaimer that I am only a generic person doing this for entertainment purposes, and I am not challenging any copyrights. And people at YouTube who wish to continue to harass me, do not. I will not be held responsible for anything like this, and actions will be taken if harassment continues, so please don't try it.

November 2007 update

  • Mood: Tired

Things are getting bigger and better for the GST. But, let's get the polling out of the way. I have seen Drew Carey on The Price is Right, and in my opinion, he is an awesome person to try and do it. Here is what you thought of Drew Carey on TPIR:

AWESOME = 50 (62%)
GOOD, BUT CAN DO BETTER = 22 (27%)
SOMEONE ELSE / CANCELLED = 9 (11%)

81 people took this poll, and 62% thought he is doing an awesome job. 27% say that he is doing all right, though can get better. And 11% of you thought someone else should've been chosen, or they should've cancelled TPIR altogether. Now, I have been a fan of The Price is Right ever since I was born, and I NEVER wanted to give it up, because it is our nation's best game show ever. ANd for you 27% who say he can do better, Drew's a rookie and please give him time. But basically, I'm sure he'll be great.
I was discussing this with a friend of mine the other night right after Thanksgiving, and I saw that Mark Goodson's logo was replaced by FreMantle Media Productions. True that FreMantle holds the rights to the Mark Goodson creations, but Mark Goodson is the original creator! I would've kept Mark's logo in. That's what this month's poll is going to reflect on.

My birthday passed this month, and I'm 20 now. Thanks to all who wished me a Happy Birthday, by the way. And also, this month we saw a deathdate anniversary pass by, as 8 years ago on November 29th, 1999, Match Game's Gene Rayburn passed away of heart failure.
This month has been adding new videos along, and many are coming back. And, rulesheets are still in the making folks. I'll stay informed.

October update

  • Mood: Just fine

In late September, I found out via-YouTube that my "You fool!" episode was pirated, and taken to ebaumsworld.com. I looked at it, saw most of my bumpers removed, and credit not given to me. As a result of this act of piracy, I embedded the video on my site and look here at the results everyone cast:

It can remain, but credit must be given: 30%
I think he should take it down: 32, 70%

I thank everyone for their opinions, and I have sent an official letter asking for action to be taken to EBaumsworld. I was so enraged over this act, that I have put up a piracy warning.

Also in the news, we know about Drew Carey filling in for Bob Barker after Barker's retirement from America's #1 daytime show, The Price is Right on CBS. There is no one who can be like Bob Barker in my view, but apparently, Drew seems to be doing all right with The Price is Right, having 3 perfect shows in a row, which I don't believe happened when Bob hosted the show. It's true that Bob is the legend of TPIR, but Drew seems to have a good sense of style.

The countdown was also completed this month, finally! And, the countdown in my view was a major success. Everyone enjoyed themselves re-living the greatest moments, some of which not seen on GSN.

I have been PIRATED!

  • Mood: Furious

Does anyone knows about the site, http://www.ebaumsworld.com? Well, it seems something has happened

Just recently, I was at YouTube and found one of my taken-down videos posted by a user, which happened to be Gilbert Gottfried's "YOU FOOL!" rant, and there was a weblink embedded in the video, leading to EBaumsworld. Unfortunately, the person who posted it took off my Game Show Temple bumpers I had used back then, including the end bumper that led to my website, and credited as his, seeing there was no link to here.

This has infuriated me and my mother, in which we are going to contact EBaumsworld. If EBaumsworld webmaster is seeing this right now, please take note that I am furious by what you have done, and ask you to do one of two things, and this does adhere to the other videos that could have come from YouTube username, mtiller2006:

-If the videos are to remain, the GST must be given credit, and the link to here must be shown
-If that is not applicable, please remove the videos

Here's what's going on

  • Mood: Well...idk

Here are the extended poll results from if you think Drew Carey will be a good host:

YES: 35
NO: 4

90% of you thought good, but 10% didn't. We'll see how it all works out come October 15th. Your new poll refers to Now You See It, which version was even better in your personal opinion.

Well, a lot of things have been going on. My assistant moderation of NBCScrabble at Yahoo! Groups have been going all right, but we have some unsubscribing members. The creator is looking for more moderators, so I would suggest that if you like Scrabble and want to play, join up by going to my Links section to learn more.
I am loving my new Veoh account. I created a personal channel for my game show videos, and will create a new one as I have heard someone say that I have a good voice. I will be doing game shows that I know of and creating stuff for it so that you can see my styles. But, Veoh allows me to post full-length episodes, which is something I like! My YouTube account remains, but only for my other interests from here on out. It's a lot of fun to have 2 different accounts, one for interests, and one for my game show stuff.
The countdown has restarted, and has gone to moment #35, which is doing real well. If you have input on it all, please let me know of what you think.

Here's the deal

  • Mood: Okay

I know I hadn't updated in a while, but things have been on a flip-flop. This site has had to undergo a major change, as the game show videos of YouTube are being taken off. The upsetting thing is that YouTube is removing all copyright material come September. I have started a group rebelling this decision on Facebook. I say that, because the TV shows are mostly what brings us to YouTube. I must stress this to all companies, this site among many other fine game show sites, is only here to provide the entertainment of the people in the real world, and no challenge of copyright is challenged or implied. Other people who have removed their game show videos were gsguy12, namk19, fauxuser416 (whose account is now closed), and other people who were doing the same thing to show the entertainment vids.

Also last July, FlashGameshows removed The Joker's Wild, Russian Roulette, High Rollers, Tic Tac Dough and Bullseye from their gaming database because of a Sony claim. All others remain still, including their newest game Caesar's Challenge from season 1. I don't know what else is going to happen.

In game show news, after the final episode for The Price is Right's very own Bob Barker, FreMantle was going across trying to find someone as a replacement for the king of game shows. Bob had 50 years on television and today hopes to retire well. He said Rosie O'Donnell might be a good choice to host the show, but after reading a magazine at Wal-Mart, people had said that if Rosie had hosted the show, they would either change the channel or turn the TV off completely. Besides, Rosie's in New York and TPIR is in Los Angeles. But, I wouldn't tune in to her anyway. Other options have been going around, and my choice would have been Marc Summers of Double Dare. They were also narrowing down on Mark Steines of Entertainment Tonight, and Todd Newton from GSN's Whammy!. Some people have said even Peter Tomarken might've been a good choice, even though he's been dead for nearly a year and a half now, after that plane crash on March 13th, 2006. But, TPIR has found a new host: Drew Carey from Whose Line is it Anyway. I wish Drew lots of luck as he goes in for TPIR's 36th season.

Also, when I woke up this morning, I received a BREAKING NEWS e-mail on Merv Griffin from one of my Yahoo! Group supporters, NBCScrabble. Merv Griffin, the creator of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!, has passed away in Cedar Sinai Hospital this morning of prostate cancer. Griffin had the same cancer in 1996 and survived, but he did not survive it this time. God rest Griffin's soul as he joins Gene Rayburn, Peter Tomarken, and many other great personalities up in heaven.

Check out my new channel in the video database section. A lot more stuff is on its way.

10:59 PM

this month's poll

The month of May, I had asked everyone if they thought my idea for the endgame of Sale of the Century was good, and there were A LOT of YESs than NOs. Because I did not hear from anybody on why they thought it was a good idea or not, I created a poll to see what everyone thinks, which I always respect. Here were the results:

HEY! I like that idea: 8 votes (40%)
It's good, but can it be improved?: 6 votes (30%)
No, the Winner's Board should've stayed: 6 votes (30%)

Very spread out, I'll say that. This month, I am reflecting on the host options of The Price is Right, since FreMantle still can't find a host to replace the retired Bob Barker, who I know NOT to be dead! We'll see what you all think once again.

Now folks, I must stress this. I am narrowing my time on the computer when I return home on Monday. Updates may be scarce, but I don't know for sure. Stay updated to find out. I also wish to thank Billy McNamee for my second tape trade. I will receive the rest of that trade as soon as I get home, as he received my part already. Vernon Metcalf and Brent Odom are now in the pending area, and possibly a third. So for those who want to trade, I request you all try hold off as I've never had 3 against me before. I thank you all for your patience in the future as this gets worked out.

See you guys!
